The next board meeting is on Monday, November 8, at 6:30 pm. Meetings are
open to all, and we are always looking for new, committed members!

The newly formed Parent Council will meet on Monday, October 25th from 8:30
till 10:00 at the Chelsea Library. We will make a craft to donate to this
year's pocket man (a Holiday Fair tradition), pass out copies of Simplicity
Parenting by Kim J. Payne and make plans for future gatherings. Please let
either Allyson Kokernot or Alyson Mahony know if you are interested in
attending.

Open Handwork after school on Mondays! Begins Oct. 18, 7th grade room, 3 - 4
pm with Marianne McCann. Every Monday till Christmas break.
There's no time to lose! Grab your tickets to upcoming Wretches & Jabberers
screenings! First up: the Syracuse International Film Festival on October
16th at 3:00pm. Larry and Tracy will present Wretches & Jabberers and host a
Q&A session moderated by Lakshmi Singh of NPR! Tickets are available for
purchase at The Palace Theater on the day of the premiere ($8/person or

Next on the calendar: the Vermont International Film Festival, October 22nd
at 6:00pm. Tickets are available for purchase at The Palace 9 Cinemas on the
day of the premiere or online at www.movietickets.com starting Friday,
October 8th, 2010. Tickets are $9/person or $7/students and seniors! Come
watch as Larry and Tracy strut their stuff down the red carpet!
The film Harvey is involved in is part of the Vermont International Film
Fest and is showing at the Palace 9 Theaters on Friday 10/22 at 6:30 which
is the opening night premier. We (the cast and crew) and family will be at
this showing. There will be other showings through 10/26. Spread the
word!!

More exciting than US vs. Canada in the Olympic Gold Medal Round! The
Original Broadway Bound production SLaM: The Hockey Rock Opera -Based on a
true story - Follow the real life romance between an American artist and an
undersized Canadian hockey player. The musical depicts their struggle to
find their place in the world and with each other. In 2005, Lauren Walker
wrote the fun and tuneful songs and story of SLaM. In the winter of 2010,
Lauren partnered with composer Nancy Taube, of Montpelier, Vermont, to
finish orchestrating and refining the music. Come fall in love with the
powerful characters in SLaM as they struggle to overcome corrupt forces

Post Kinney farm is having a Barn Building Bee help us get our barn tight to

Fundraisers and Special Events
Silent Auction Donations Needed! The deadline has passed and we have half
the amount of items we usually have. All is not lost, however! There is
still time to bring your donations to the office by the end of the school
day on Thursday. Please call Amy with any questions!! Thanks for all your
support!
Saturday, November 20th is the date for the annual Wellspring Holiday Fair
from 9:30 to 3:00 at the Town Hall in Chelsea. We are looking for
volunteers, especially to work a two hour shift at the craft table and to
take a shift as the Pocket Man. We are also looking for small handmade
items for Pocket Man's pockets. Hold onto them for now. We'll let you
know when we want them! Also, at our next Parent Council meeting, we will
be making Pocket Man items while we have our discussion. All are welcome!
Lava will lead the craft, materials will be supplied.
The Silent Auction is fast approaching. We are looking for food donations to
make this event as successful as possible. Please look through your
freezers, root cellars, and pantries and contribute what you can to this
