Official School News
The next board meeting is on Monday, November 8, at 6:30 pm. Meetings are
open to all, and we are always looking for new, committed members!
The 7TH grade is looking for a hotplate and tea kettle for their classroom.
If you have an extra,
Please bring it in! Thank you.
Thank you to all the parents who attended the All School Meeting at the new
campus and town hall last week. It was so exciting to be together in the new
building together and talk about all the wonderful things going on at our
school! If you could not make it, there will be a hard copy of a Development
Report put in your boxes by the end of the week. This way we can all stay
informed. Please see Amy Rosalbo in the office if you have any questions or
comments about the meeting or report.
Thanks everyone for your participation in the fall work day! A lot got done,
there was good food and good company. A couple of people worked at the New
Campus as well. And Brian Sanborn stopped by yesterday to thank us for
raking up the leaves in front of the court house.
We are still looking for the Holiday Fair banner and the Pocket Man apron!
Any leads?
Georg Locher from England will be coming to our school next January for a
whole week. He is a Waldorf graduate, taught at Michael Hall Rudolf Steiner
School for 25 years, directed Steiner Waldorf Teacher Education at Emerson
College for 14 years, and works for Antioch advising schools and evaluating
teachers. He has tremendous wealth of knowledge, experience, and talent. We
are looking for a family to host him - preferably provide him with some
privacy and a private bathroom, and help with transportation to school, and
food. Any volunteers?
The Parent Council will be meeting next Monday after drop off at the library
(8:30 - 10:00 am). Fresh baked bread from Brookside Bakery (Allyson K.'s new
business) and coffee will be enjoyed while chatting and creating a pocket
man craft. Let Allyson Kokernot or Alyson Mahony know if you can make it!
Halloween Haunted House - If anyone has things that would enhance our
haunted house in the Grange, please contact Mr. Rovainen. Looking for
things such as black sheets, strangely colored lights, dry ice, tasteful
Halloween decorations [groovy paper mache gravestone okay; chintzy plastic
orange pumpkin we'll pass on], and any other fun ideas.
School and Class Photos: $5 a piece. Please call or email in your orders.

My mother-in-law is moving here to the Upper Valley from North Carolina to
be near her family. This Southern belle needs a small apartment/house to
live in - one bedroom would work fine-between $400-600 per month. She has a
cat with very good manners. The closest to Thetford the better. If you
have any place in mind that you could refer us to, that would be
appreciated. Thank you so much. Megan O'Dell 802.785.4223 or

Fundraisers and Special Events
Bitsy Biron and Jeff Jones need someone to assist in their winter concert
series. Currently the work involves calling local town halls (and other
venues) for availability and suitability for a rocking mid winter event.
This concert is sure to be a great FUNdraiser; if you can help make it
happen please let either Alyson Mahony or Bitsy know.
Saturday, November 20th is the date for the annual Wellspring Holiday Fair

know when we want them! Also, at our next Parent Council meeting, we will
be making Pocket Man items while we have our discussion. All are welcome!
Lava will lead the craft, materials will be supplied.
