installation of the drop ceiling, frame base pads for the granite stairs and
continue with floor preparation. Thanks everyone for the continued effort.
We're into our final push to open the new school's doors by September. If
you haven't already, please jump in to help any way and any time you can -
no skill required - we'll provide tasks to do - every hour helps and you'll
have fun doing it!

Development News

We have lots of money to raise this month! I attended a workshop in
Woodstock with the Planned Giving Council of NH & VT last week and made some
nice contacts and learned much! I am on the road at more Annual meetings and
other networking events often in the next two weeks. Wish me luck AND let me
know if you have any ideas or contacts I should make.
We did not receive a $7,500 grant from Mascoma Bank that we applied for. We
are waiting to hear from three other grants that we have applied for and
should know this month.
We still must raise $86,000 towards our $100,000 Sweat Equity goal by the
end of summer. We have hit the $20,000 mark in volunteer work in this
campaign. Thank you for all your work! With the end of the school year, our
numbers for both volunteer labor and cash donations should be increasing
quickly!
I am planning a fundraising trip to NYC the week of June 20th. I will be
visiting Steve Nelson at the Calhoun School, Shannon Williams, Development
Director at the Rudolf Steiner School, some alumni who are working in New
York and other possible donors in the city. If you have any person in New
York whom you think I could meet with for fundraising (or fundraising ideas)
or just good public relations, please let me know! Onward and upward!

Progress continues at the new campus. We found a hard-to-find 18"
dishwasher for the EC on Craig's List. The Marmoleum floor order has been

installation at the main entrance and along the north side. The window trim
is up and looks great.

Development News
The end of the year is approaching fast and we are well on our way with our
volunteer efforts in our "Sweat Equity" goal. You all have logged over
$15,000 worth of Volunteer labor thus far! And we have raised $12,000 in
cash towards the $100,000 goal. We are also waiting to hear from three
grants written within the past three months. We will be planning another
phone-a-thon for the next work day, or maybe before, depending on our work
schedule.
We could always use some names and numbers of friends and family who you
think may want to give on any level to help us achieve our goals. These
tele-thons are geared towards furthering out our donor base and focusing on
those who either are potential donors, or have given in the past, but not
for some time. We are not calling grandparents during these telethons.
Your hard work and dedication is so appreciated and helps make my job easier
when approaching donors while fundraising. Thanks, and as always, please
