Official School News

Next Board Meeting: Thurs, June,16, 5:30 pm.

Parents: Please participate in or observe the Wellspring All-School Field
Day at 11:00 am on Thursday, June 9, at the Heath Field. All abilities
welcome.

We will have our closing circle at 2:00 pm on Thursday, June 9.

Thank you to all of the parents who came out to march in the Memorial Day
parade in Tunbridge. We had a wonderful representation of children from all
the grades and parents, even some Alumni were marching with us! A very
special thank you to Heidi Chapman for her organization and commitment to
this event. We marched proudly in support of our country and were met with a
warm welcome by the people of Tunbridge.

As the warm weather is slowly approaching - keep your fingers crossed - we
wanted to send a humble request out to all parents of pubescent youth to ask
them to shower frequently and maybe look into the use of deodorants. Thanks!

We are looking for a car for Maite (the Basque Chaperone) for the weeks of
June 29th through July 26th or even just part of that. Does anyone have one
we could borrow so the school doesn't have to rent one? Thanks!

We have 9 Basque students and a Basque chaperone coming for a month in July.
Please introduce yourselves if you see them around, they love to practice
their English. If there are fun events that are happening that you think the
students would enjoy, please email Melisa and she will pass it along to
hosting families. Thank you to the ten hosting families!

New Campus Update

Progress continues at the new campus. We found a hard-to-find 18"
dishwasher for the EC on Craig's List. The Marmoleum floor order has been
placed and product delivery is expected early next week. The interior doors
are on their way. We're in the process of scheduling the granite step
installation at the main entrance and along the north side. The window trim
is up and looks great.

Development News
The end of the year is approaching fast and we are well on our way with our
volunteer efforts in our "Sweat Equity" goal. You all have logged over
$15,000 worth of Volunteer labor thus far! And we have raised $12,000 in
cash towards the $100,000 goal. We are also waiting to hear from three
grants written within the past three months. We will be planning another
phone-a-thon for the next work day, or maybe before, depending on our work
schedule.
We could always use some names and numbers of friends and family who you
think may want to give on any level to help us achieve our goals. These
tele-thons are geared towards furthering out our donor base and focusing on
those who either are potential donors, or have given in the past, but not
for some time. We are not calling grandparents during these telethons.
Your hard work and dedication is so appreciated and helps make my job easier
when approaching donors while fundraising. Thanks, and as always, please
contact me with any questions, comments or ideas. amyrosalbo@gmail.com or

Have a vehicle Mr. Rovainen can borrow May 31 - June 3? We are really
excited to take our class to a cabin in the eastern Adirondacks, but because
of parent commitments we are one car / driver shy. If someone has a vehicle
(licensed, inspected) they could lend us, Mr. Rovainen alone driving, that
would really help us out. dogpianoman@wildmail.com, or 461-7194. Thank you!
