HOST BASQUE / SPANISH STUDENTS THIS SUMMER?

Last summer six Wellspring families hosted seven teenagers from the Basque region of Spain.  The kids came with a chaperone  (end June/beginning July) to live with families and partake of Vermont summer life, American culture and English language immersion.  Host families were supported by an adult chaperone and were given a food and activity stipend for their Spanish kid’s stay. This is an exciting opportunity for your family and a potentially great fundraiser for your school. Please contact Jools Skeet for more for details, 763-7780.  A February meeting will be scheduled soon.

We need to hear from interested host families.

The Jones family has moved. Please update your directory and phone lists: PO Box 733, South Royalton, VT 05068, Tel.: 763-2509.

Snow Shoe-a-thon February 20th  Your invited to JOIN THE FUN!!

Everyone is welcome to join in the fun. Starting from the
Town Center hike the 2 mile trail to the Mountain School. Registration entry fee is by donation or sponsorship. The Mountain School provides a lunch to all participants and will hold their open house and winter carnival from 11-2pm.
This is a terrific opportunity to get out, get some exercise, and raise money for the Children's Activity Fund. The Children's Activity Fund provides monies for the Vershire Summer Camp, and for Wellspring and Rivendell activities.
We hope that every child can find additional sponsors. A child can earn a T-shirt for raising $50 and a long sleeved T for raising $100.  All children under 18 are partially sponsored by the Snow Angels. These individuals  donate monies so that every child can participate regardless of circumstance.
We have snowshoes, a 1 mile option, a food & break station on the trail. First timers are welcome.
Registration will start at
10 am at the Vershire Town Center, the 2 mile trail will close at 11am. Vans will take participants to the half way point until 11:45am.
Forms are available on line at  www.vershare.org/snowshoe.html <http://www.vershare.org/snowshoe.html> , at the town Office or at the event.
For more information, to be a Snow Angel or a volunteer. Please call Ethel at 685-3874
