Priming is complete thanks to a great community effort. The ceilings and
concrete walls have now been sprayed with a finish coat of white paint and
we expect to wrap up the wall painting this week. Please take a couple of
hours this week to get over and roll. The construction committee has been
soliciting for materials with great success. The latest successes include
all of the paint for the interior at 40% off and a pledge from the
manufacturers of Marmoleum flooring to donate a portion of the new upper
level floor. Upcoming projects include cutting donated window trim,
rebuilding the interior stairs and removing the old upper level vinyl tile
floor. This Saturday is our next community workday and we hope to see you
all there. Stay tuned, we're expecting April to be month of great progress.

mailing out over 600 of them next week. We could sure use some help labeling
and sorting them! If you can help out on Monday afternoon, or anytime on

Foundation Studies Course
If you are interested, act now!!!
2011-2013
The Center for Anthroposophy will bring their Foundations Studies Course to
the Upper Valley Waldorf School if they have enough interest. Through
seminars, ongoing group work and artistic activities the Foundation Studies
Course addresses, at many levels, the broad themes of human development and
personal growth.
The Foundation Studies Course comprises three distinct but interrelated
elements:
1) Study of the basic books of Rudolf Steiner, including How to Know Higher
Worlds, Theosophy, An Outline of Esoteric Science, and Intuitive Thinking as
a Spiritual Path: A Philosophy of Freedom.
2) Cultivation of artistic activities that are transformative in nature,
such as speech, drama, music, eurythmy, painting, drawing, woodwork,
sculpture, and more.
3) Some experience of life in a Waldorf school as well as other cultural
initiatives arising from the work of Rudolf Steiner.
Within a broad outline, each cluster is custom-designed to meet the needs
and particular interests of the communities in which it is held. The course
is a two-year commitment and consists of students in the same geographic
area who meet every other week in guided group sessions that combine a
variety of both intellectual and artistic offerings. A minimum of 15 people
is needed to form a "cluster."

New Campus Update
On the work side of things, we are happy to report that we are almost done
priming and will be ready to paint next week. We are planning a work day on
April 2 for this purpose and would love to see you all there. Child care
will be provided in the Big House. More to come from your team captains.
Once the priming is complete, several other projects will be launched and we
should see some busy weeks ahead. Some of these projects will be completed
by paid Wellspring crafts-people but we will try to give advanced notice of
the volunteer needs.
Several donations of materials and equipment have been made by local
businesses and parents and more are in the works!
Development
The Development team has also been busy, since we had the community meeting
on February 16th we have raised $6,000 in New Capital Campaign donations.
This brings our total to $212,197.95. There are several new projects -
including an on-line link that you can send to friends and family. Folks are
also getting very creative - thanks to Sarah Green and Mountain Ash Design
for making a capital campaign donation by donating 10% of her sales at the
Because Craft Fair in Burlington last weekend.
At the work day on April 2, we will be launching a new phase of our Capital
Campaign that is inspired by the tremendous amount of effort and time our
parents have dedicated to this project. As a part of this, we will be
holding a phone-a-thon at the school office during the work day. If you are
interested in helping with this please contact Amy Rosalbo. No experience
needed and a brief training will be held that day.
As always, thanks to all of you for your work, your energy and your
enthusiasm. We are making it happen!
Development will be sending a save the date invitation to all Wellspring
Grandparents for Grandparents Day during the day of May Fest on Saturday,
May 14th. We are also mailing out our Newsletter soon! Please forward
